June 20, 2008, Newsletter Issue #123: Sewing Your Own Foam Pillows

Tip of the Week

A simple way to redecorate your living room would be to add pillows to your couches and chairs. If new pillows are expensive, save money by sewing your own pillow cover to give your pillows a new look.

· Start by taking the foam pillow to be covered and measure it to determine the size of fabric to purchase. A simple way to choose new fabric at the fabric store is to look for a color that complements your living room.

· For square cushions, sew three sides of the square fabric on the wrong side.

· Insert the foam into the foam pillow fabric, and sew the open side close.
