Before buying a new bed, determine if your bed's frame will be appropriate for your new bed. After finding out about the frame, use a measuring tape to measure the length and width of the area in which the new bed will be installed. If you are using the old mattress frame, also measure the depth of the area as well, just in case the new bed is too high for the headboard.
